Jutlandia is ready for a hard Brexit

Jutlandia is ready for a hard Brexit in the Port of Esbjerg

A hard Brexit is moving closer and closer, and a new reality for importers and exporters to the UK is a reality when we enter 2021.

We, at Jutlandia, are ready to assist and along with our customs department, and bonded warehouses we have just received our new ISPM-15 approval, making Jutlandia a swiss army knife when it comes to import and export to the UK.

We can handle all types of import and export documentation and goods can be stored and packed in our bonded warehouses, for instance goods coming from the Far East before being shipped onwards to the UK.

With six weekly ferry departures between Esbjerg and Immingham, and only 4 hours from Bremerhaven, Hamburg or Cuxhaven, Jutlandia is a perfect hub between the EU and the UK.

 Now ISPM-15 certified

We are happy to announce that Jutlandia just received our ISPM-15 certification.

This means that we now can assist our clients with wood packaging and dunnage that have to be heat treated according to overseas regulations and requirements.

With this certification Jutlandia are allowed to process and construct heat treated packaging and dunnage. When completed all wood will be stamped with the international IPPC tag and thereby be approved for overseas shipping.

With the arrival of Brexit, solid wood pallets and packaging moving back and forth between the EU and the UK will be required to be ISPM 15 compliant, effective January 2021.

What does ISPM15 stand for?

International Standards For Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 (ISPM 15)
